I suppose I became aware of design after using Tumblr, or maybe six months to a year before that. It was almost a self-sustaining process: when I became aware of what design was, I started seeing things I like, and then half-copied and half-created something of my own, then I gradually developed my style. When you keep posting, you keep getting feedback, it became an addiction. I was addicted to design when I was addicted to Tumblr. At that time, these two things meant the same to me. Since I only posted my designs, the feedback created a loop.
